In a strategic partnership with CPX Holding, the UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC) has unveiled the ‘UAE Cyber Factory’, designed to enhance the nation’s cybersecurity framework and support its ambitions for digital leadership.
This initiative is geared towards bolstering the UAE’s capacity to identify, deter, and respond to increasing cyber threats that are targeted at governmental bodies, enterprises, and private citizens. The move comes at a time when global cyberattacks are surging, with reports indicating that the UAE is facing more than 800,000 daily cyber threats.
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, who oversees cybersecurity for the UAE Government, emphasized that the UAE Cyber Factory signifies a pivotal advancement for the nation, positioning it as a global leader in cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.
He noted that the focus extends beyond safeguarding the digital landscape to encompass the creation of technologies capable of swiftly identifying and mitigating cyber threats with precision.
The UAE Cyber Factory will prioritize the design and development of next-generation cybersecurity technologies and systems driven by artificial intelligence (AI). These state-of-the-art solutions are anticipated to equip the country to respond to evolving cyber challenges with enhanced speed, accuracy, and effectiveness.
The initiative will also facilitate the establishment of a fully sovereign cybersecurity ecosystem, ensuring that the UAE retains comprehensive control over its cybersecurity resources, thereby reinforcing its digital autonomy and readiness for future cyber challenges.
Through this collaboration, the UAE Cyber Security Council and CPX aspire to align with the national vision of fostering globally competitive cybersecurity solutions that are innovated within the UAE.
Hadi Anwar, CEO of CPX, remarked that the UAE Cyber Factory is a decisive move toward cultivating a secure and forward-thinking cybersecurity landscape. He further stated that this initiative would harness local expertise, innovative engineering, and development to enhance the existing cybersecurity framework.
He added that the project would bolster national cybersecurity defenses, ensuring a safer digital ecosystem for government agencies, corporations, and residents throughout the UAE.
