UAE and Germany Collaborate on Regional Security Amid Iranian Threats

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed Omid Nouripour, Vice-President of the German Bundestag, for discussions centered on pressing regional and global concerns.

The dialogue covered the recent Iranian missile attacks directed at the UAE and other neighboring nations, assessing their repercussions on regional stability, energy supplies, maritime security, and the wider global economy.

The German representatives emphasized their unwavering solidarity with the UAE, endorsing all initiatives undertaken by the nation to safeguard its sovereignty and the welfare of its citizens and residents.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed gratitude for the visit, highlighting it as a testament to the robust ties between the UAE and Germany and Germany’s supportive stance amid ongoing tensions.

The meeting also touched upon the recent announcement from US President Donald Trump regarding a ceasefire with Iran, underscoring the necessity for enhanced regional and global unity in fostering lasting peace and maintaining stability.

Additionally, both nations explored avenues for strengthening their cooperation across various sectors.

Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the significant role of parliaments in facilitating diplomatic resolutions and nurturing dialogue aimed at achieving peace and sustainable progress.

This significant meeting also featured the presence of Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State.
