A notable delegation from the General Women’s Union (GWU) conducted a pivotal meeting with the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) during its recent visit to the People’s Republic of China, supported by the UAE Embassy in Beijing.
This meeting is an integral part of the UAE-China Businesswomen Council’s goals, focusing on enhancing institutional partnerships and facilitating knowledge transfer on development-driven international collaborations. This initiative resonates with the shared ambitions of both nations in fostering economic progress, innovation, and sustainable alliances.
Leading the UAE delegation was H.E. Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the GWU, while Yu Wei, Deputy Director-General of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, represented the Chinese side along with other key officials.
Throughout the discussions, representatives from both sides analyzed the CPC Central Committee’s vast expertise in managing external relations. Special attention was turned to the International Department’s role, which connects over 600 political parties and organizations globally, exemplifying structured international dialogue and collaboration.
Discussions also included potential opportunities for collaborative initiatives embracing knowledge exchange and capacity-building efforts aimed at enhancing institutional efficiency and promoting sustainable evolution of global partnerships.
This meeting aligns with the UAE General Women’s Union’s vision to activate the UAE-China Businesswomen Council, one of the fundamental outcomes of the Emirati women entrepreneurs councils initiative established in friendly nations, guided by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation,” Chairwoman of the GWU, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
The initiative is set to empower Emirati women, amplify their global presence, and boost their engagement in international economic collaborations with strategic allies.
Concluding the meeting, Noura Al Suwaidi highlighted the importance of such interactions in strengthening cross-border institutional ties and further empowering Emirati women as key players in global development pathways.
The Chinese officials praised the UAE’s visionary leadership and acknowledged H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak’s unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment, recognizing the Emirati model as a leading example regionally and globally.
