Abu Dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, has unveiled the UAE Experts in Artificial Intelligence Programme — a five-year drive to prepare 100 AI specialists for public and private sectors.
The course runs for 12 months and pairs formal instruction with intensive practical experience, including visits to prominent international AI centres. Participants will work with advanced technologies, learn contemporary research techniques and absorb international best practices to lead AI projects both inside the UAE and abroad.
Sheikh Mansour noted the programme supports the UAE’s ambition to rank among the world’s leading nations in artificial intelligence. By developing homegrown talent, the initiative seeks to deepen the knowledge economy, stimulate innovation and supply strategic sectors with AI expertise.
The launch took place during a gathering with graduates from the second and third cohorts of the UAE National Experts Programme at the UAE Government Annual Meetings in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Mansour stressed the need to build national capacity in emerging technologies and maintain the UAE’s position at the cutting edge of global AI progress.
Officials said the move signals continued investment in human capital and a commitment to technological leadership, aiming to foster a resilient, innovation-led future. Trained specialists are expected to accelerate digital transformation across healthcare, energy, smart cities and government services.
Organisers describe the UAE Experts in Artificial Intelligence Programme as a strategic platform for talent development, knowledge exchange and the delivery of practical AI solutions that will shape the country’s development in the years ahead.
