The highly anticipated 33rd edition of the UAE President's Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses advances to its sixth race at Horner Rennbahn in Hamburg, Germany, tomorrow. This event is a part of the revered German Derby meeting, esteemed among Europe’s elite horse racing festivals and marking a significant milestone in this year’s international racing series.
Continuing to enjoy the backing of UAE leadership, the UAE President's Cup Series promotes global engagement in the ownership and breeding of Purebred Arabian horses, reinforcing their heritage and expanding Arabian horse racing’s influence worldwide.
This German segment is crucial, aligning with the prestigious German Derby meeting, thus enhancing the series’ international standing. The Higher Organising Committee remains dedicated to featuring the UAE President's Cup at premier global racetracks and festivals, amplifying recognition for the Purebred Arabian breed.
Scheduled to commence at 16:40 Hamburg time, this Group 2 race spans a distance of 1,600 metres on turf, exclusively for Purebred Arabian horses aged four years and older.
The Hamburg event draws a competitive lineup of promising horses from both Europe and the Middle East.
Among the leading contenders is Wasmy Al Khalediah (Ghandafar Al Khalediah × Shaza Al Khalediah), fresh off a win in this season's Sweden leg.
Adding to the excitement are contenders such as Chdia (Al Mourtajez × Rkaya) and Haseef (Al Mourtajez × Ghazwa) from Wathnan Racing, alongside HM Majdallah (Izz Al Khail × Ankaa Karim), Ammas (Mister Ginoux × Farlet de Pine), and Papillion T (Al Mourtajez × Pippa T), creating a riveting showdown for the title.
Faisal Al Rahmani, the Secretary-General of the Higher Organising Committee, expressed satisfaction in expanding the UAE President's Cup Series to Europe’s top racecourses.
He highlighted that the event’s inclusion in this historic Derby showcases the esteemed global reputation the UAE President's Cup has cultivated over the years and its vital role in nurturing the growth of Purebred Arabian horse racing worldwide.
Al Rahmani further emphasized the significance of the German race as part of the series. He reaffirmed the committee's ongoing dedication to supporting horse owners, breeders, and Arabian horse studs globally, enhancing the visibility of Purebred Arabian horses at premier international racing events.
He noted with pride the accomplishments of this year's European legs, emphasizing that the participation of elite horses, owners, trainers, and jockeys in Hamburg attests to the growing prestige of the UAE President's Cup and the keen interest from the global Arabian horse racing community.
