UAE Dispatches Over 100 Tonnes of Relief Supplies to Gaza

UAE Dispatches Over 100 Tonnes of Relief Supplies to Gaza

Post by : Badri Ariffin

On Saturday morning, a humanitarian aircraft took off from Sharjah International Airport, loaded with more than 100 tonnes of crucial food and relief supplies destined for the Gaza Strip.

This operation is part of the “Humaid Air Bridge” initiative, initiated under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman. The endeavor is being coordinated alongside Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.

The consignment contains approximately 3,300 food parcels designed to fulfill the basic nutritional needs of families in Gaza. This aid underscores the UAE’s steadfast resolve to extend humanitarian support amidst the ongoing crisis.

Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 continues to broaden its relief operations. A fully-equipped field hospital and the UAE Floating Hospital are currently operational in Al Arish, Egypt, offering a combined capacity of up to 100 beds with specialized teams in various medical fields including general surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, along with intensive care.

Alongside medical assistance, six desalination plants have been established to provide daily access to clean drinking water for those in Gaza, addressing critical water shortages.

The UAE stands committed to playing a vital role in delivering humanitarian assistance and essential services to support the Palestinian community during these challenging times.
