UAE Set to Showcase Defence Innovations at EDEX 2025

Post by : Maya Rahman

The United Arab Emirates is poised to participate in the fourth edition of the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX) 2025, scheduled from December 1 to 4, 2025, at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in Cairo. The UAE will present a significant national pavilion that will display its top-tier land, sea, and air defence technologies to a global audience. As one of the largest defence expos in the Middle East and North Africa, EDEX underscores the UAE’s expanding influence in the global defence sector.

The UAE pavilion will present a selection of notable national defence firms recognized for their innovative approaches and robust capabilities. Their aim is to forge strategic partnerships, enhance commercial ties, and broaden their reach in both regional and international markets. Through EDEX 2025, these companies seek to showcase their latest advancements and solutions to defence sector professionals from various countries.

Participating notably at this pavilion will be prominent UAE entities such as the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, EDGE Group, Calidus, GAL, AMMROC, and Al Jundi magazine. Each will unveil their latest defence offerings, state-of-the-art technologies, and specialized services. The event will facilitate connections with global manufacturers and industry leaders while uncovering new business prospects.

The UAE's involvement in EDEX reflects its commitment to fostering innovation, enhancing national capabilities, and strengthening the local defence landscape. This initiative aligns with the UAE’s strategic goals of cultivating international collaborations that promote knowledge sharing and aid in localizing peaceful defence technologies, thereby boosting national security and spurring long-term economic development.

Alongside showcasing their innovations, the UAE pavilion will promote significant national defence events expected in future years. These include the 2026 editions of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and the Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX), as well as the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR). Additional highlights will be the 2027 editions of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX), events that draw global attention and fortify the UAE's position as a center for security innovation.

EDEX 2025 will feature numerous international defence and security firms showcasing their leading-edge systems and technologies. The expo will also serve as a forum to explore cooperation opportunities, exchange knowledge, and ponder the advancements in modern defence solutions.

Capital 360 Event Experiences, a division of ADNEC Group, will oversee the organization of the UAE pavilion. This initiative is part of a broader international program, with plans for the UAE pavilion to appear at several global exhibitions in 2026, including the World Defence Show in Riyadh and Defence Services Asia in Kuala Lumpur, among others.

Attendees comprising international delegations, military officials, and decision-makers at EDEX 2025 will have the chance to explore the UAE pavilion and discover the cutting-edge technologies presented by UAE firms. Opportunities to engage with defence experts and discuss potential partnerships will also be available, highlighting the UAE's dedication to enhancing global defence collaboration and advancing state-of-the-art military technology.
