This announcement was made by President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office in Kyiv, showcasing Ukraine’s commitment to diplomatic solutions.

Zelensky’s office stated that the Ukrainian government has officially received the draft plan, which the US believes could bolster diplomatic endeavors. “The President has been formally presented with a draft from the American side, which is perceived as potentially energizing for diplomacy,” the statement read.

Details of the proposal have not been fully revealed; however, inside sources suggest that some points resemble Russia’s stringent conditions. Following discussions in Kyiv with US military leaders, Zelensky's office confirmed an agreement to thoroughly assess the plan and collaborate on its elements. “We agreed to refine the components of the plan to secure a dignified resolution to the conflict,” the statement indicated. Ukraine conveyed its openness to work alongside the US, Europe, and other global partners to establish a sustainable peace solution.

In the near future, President Zelensky is anticipated to speak with former US President Donald Trump to delve deeper into the proposal. Ukraine’s willingness to negotiate illustrates its aim to align diplomatic efforts with national security needs, while firmly rejecting agreements that may undermine its sovereignty.
