Ukrainian Drone Hits Russian Beach 3 Dead 7 Hurt

On Tuesday, there was a drone attack by Ukraine on a public beach in Russia’s Kursk Oblast. Kursk is a region that lies on the border with Ukraine. This attack was sudden and shocking because it happened on a beach where many families were enjoying their holiday.

What Happened During the Attack?

According to Alexander Khinshtein, the acting governor of Kursk, the attack happened in the evening when families were relaxing. Children were playing, and people were enjoying the summer weather. The governor said there were no military bases or army camps near the beach. It was just a normal public place for local people to relax.
Suddenly, a drone came and exploded near the beach. This first explosion created panic among people. Many started running to save their lives and protect their children.

Brave Soldier Killed While Saving Others

Among the people who rushed to help after the first blast were two officers from the Russian National Guard. One of them was a senior sergeant. Both officers went to help evacuate the injured and take people away from the dangerous area.
However, while they were helping, another drone came and exploded. This second explosion killed the senior sergeant on the spot. His colleague survived but was injured.

How Many People Were Hurt?

In total, three people were killed, including the sergeant. Seven others were injured, and they suffered from shrapnel wounds and burns. Shrapnel wounds happen when small pieces of metal from the explosion hit people’s bodies.

Condition of the Injured

Among the injured was a five-year-old child, who is in serious condition. Doctors are treating the child and other victims at the regional hospital. According to officials, five out of the seven injured people are in very critical condition and need special care to recover.

Immediate Response by Authorities

As soon as the attack happened, emergency services, police, and ambulances reached the scene quickly. They started helping the injured and shifting them to hospitals. They also began investigating the area to collect pieces of the drones and other evidence to understand how the attack was planned.

Why This Attack is Shocking

This attack has shocked many people in Russia because it targeted civilians relaxing on a beach, not any military base. Usually, during wars, attacks happen on army camps, borders, or important government buildings. But this drone strike hit innocent people enjoying a holiday evening.

No Response From Ukraine Yet

So far, Ukrainian officials have not given any statement about why this attack was carried out or what their aim was. The Russian government is investigating the incident seriously because it involved civilian deaths, including a child and an officer.

Current Situation

  • Families of the victims are mourning their loss.
  • Police are investigating how drones entered Kursk airspace.
  • Hospitals are giving special treatment to the injured to save their lives.
  • Many people in Kursk are now scared of more drone attacks in public areas.

This tragic attack shows how the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine is affecting not only soldiers but also innocent people, including children and families who have nothing to do with the war.
