Ayesha Khan, a famous Pakistani television actress known for her powerful performances in classic dramas, was found dead in her apartment in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7, Karachi, on Wednesday. She was 76 years old.

According to reports, Ayesha had been living alone and was facing health issues for some time. She had also stepped away from public life in her later years. Neighbors informed the police after noticing a bad smell coming from her apartment. Officials believe she had passed away nearly a week before her body was discovered.

Her body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a post-mortem examination to find out the cause and time of death. Afterward, it was shifted to the Edhi Foundation mortuary in Sohrab Goth.

Ayesha Khan was born on November 22, 1948. She became a respected name in the television industry with her strong roles in dramas like Akhri Chattan, Tipu Sultan: The Tiger Lord, Dehleez, Daraarein, Bol Meri Machli, and Ek Aur Aasman. She also appeared in films such as Muskaan, Fatima, and even in the Indian movie Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman.

She was the elder sister of the late Khalida Riyasat, another legendary actress from the golden era of Pakistan Television (PTV). Both sisters are remembered for their remarkable contributions to the entertainment world.

In her later years, Ayesha Khan kept a low profile and reportedly struggled with health problems, living alone away from the spotlight. Her passing is a sad moment for fans and the acting community who admired her work over the decades.
