Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi meets PM Modi

Post by : Shakul

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his official visit to India for the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting being held in New Delhi. The meeting has attracted significant international attention as tensions continue to rise across West Asia and concerns grow over regional security, global oil prices, and diplomatic stability.

The high-level meeting between the Iranian foreign minister and Prime Minister Modi took place at a sensitive geopolitical moment. The ongoing conflict involving Iran and increasing instability in the Middle East have created concerns among major global economies, especially countries heavily dependent on energy imports and maritime trade routes.

During his visit, Abbas Araghchi was also expected to hold bilateral discussions with India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. Reports indicated that the talks would mainly focus on the escalating West Asia crisis, regional security concerns, energy cooperation, and the impact of current tensions on global markets and trade.

India and Iran share long-standing diplomatic and economic ties, especially in the areas of energy, trade, and regional connectivity projects. Over the years, both countries have maintained strategic communication despite changing global political situations and international sanctions affecting Iran. Analysts believe the current discussions are important for maintaining stability in bilateral relations during a period of growing international uncertainty.

The BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi is being closely watched by global observers because it brings together major emerging economies at a time of rising geopolitical tensions. Apart from economic cooperation, the discussions are expected to cover global security challenges, international trade disruptions, energy supply concerns, and diplomatic coordination among member nations.
