Vietnam Pushes Reforms for Double-Digit Growth

Vietnam Pushes Reforms for Double-Digit Growth

Post by : Shakul

A high-level meeting was held in Hanoi where Prime Minister Le Minh Hung chaired a session with the Ministry of Finance to review economic performance and outline strategies for achieving double-digit growth. The meeting brought together senior government leaders and focused on strengthening economic policies.

The Prime Minister emphasized the urgent need to innovate thinking and working methods in order to mobilize resources effectively. He highlighted that in a rapidly changing global environment, traditional approaches may not be sufficient to meet ambitious growth targets.

During the discussion, officials reviewed the current economic situation, including growth drivers, bottlenecks, and challenges. The Ministry of Finance was recognized for its key role in managing national finances, ensuring economic balance, and supporting business development.

The government acknowledged the ministry’s efforts in improving the investment environment, promoting entrepreneurship, and responding to policy changes. Reforms in taxation, stock market development, and financial systems have contributed to economic progress in recent years.

Despite achievements, the Prime Minister noted that global uncertainties and internal limitations continue to impact economic stability. He stressed that strong determination and unity are essential to overcome challenges and maintain growth momentum.

A major focus of the meeting was on mobilizing both domestic and international resources. The Prime Minister called for better use of public and private investments, development of capital markets, and efficient management of state assets to support long-term growth.

He also emphasized the importance of digital transformation, innovation, and improved governance. Strengthening data systems and modernizing administrative processes were identified as key steps to enhance efficiency and transparency.

In addition, the government plans to improve the legal framework by revising important laws and policies. This includes efforts to simplify procedures, reduce business costs, and create a more supportive environment for enterprises.

The Prime Minister concluded by urging ministries and agencies to act decisively and implement reforms effectively. He stated that achieving double-digit growth will require coordinated efforts, strong leadership, and continuous innovation across all sectors of the economy.
