Pham Minh Chinh met Chinese Ambassador He Wei in Hanoi on April 5 to discuss strengthening bilateral relations between Vietnam and China. The meeting took place at the Government headquarters and focused on enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the steady progress in Vietnam-China relations, including growing political trust, increased trade and investment, and stronger people-to-people exchanges. The leaders also exchanged greetings from top officials of both countries, reflecting continued diplomatic engagement at the highest levels.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the importance of maintaining friendly ties and called for balanced and sustainable trade growth. He also suggested expanding cooperation in infrastructure, particularly railway connectivity, along with stronger collaboration in energy, finance, tourism, and cultural exchanges.
Ambassador He Wei expressed appreciation for Vietnam’s development achievements and reaffirmed China’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Vietnam. Both sides agreed to continue strengthening their comprehensive strategic partnership and work towards mutual development in the coming years.
