Timings for Eid Al Adha Prayers Announced Across UAE for Wednesday Morning

Timings for Eid Al Adha Prayers Announced Across UAE for Wednesday Morning

Post by : Badri Ariffin

The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat has made an announcement regarding the official prayer timings for Eid Al Adha throughout the UAE. On Wednesday morning, worshippers are encouraged to gather in mosques and designated prayer spaces to celebrate this significant Islamic occasion.

As per the announcement, the prayer timings will be 5:45am in Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman, whilst Abu Dhabi will commence at 5:51am. Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah will hold their prayers at 5:43am, and Umm Al Quwain will start at 5:44am.

The authority indicated that timings could vary slightly based on the accepted prayer calendar and regional geographical differences.

Soon after sunrise, Eid Al Adha prayers are typically conducted as a congregation. The format includes two units (rakats), led by an imam, followed by a sermon that emphasizes the spiritual essence of Eid, such as sacrifice, compassion, and gratitude.

Traditionally, worshippers begin their mornings with takbeerat, expressions of praise to God, before exchanging festive greetings and enjoying moments with family and friends.

The theme of this year’s Eid sermon throughout UAE mosques will be “Our Eid is Truthfulness and Sacrifice.” This sermon will highlight virtues such as sincerity, compassion, solidarity, sacrifice, and social unity.

It aims to inspire individuals to strengthen family connections during the holiday and promote values like tolerance and mutual care in the community.
