Suspected Gangster Rao Inderjeet Yadav Captured in Dubai

Suspected Gangster Rao Inderjeet Yadav Captured in Dubai

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Rao Inderjeet Yadav, an alleged gangster linked to the murder of a businessman in Rohtak in 2024, has reportedly been arrested in Dubai, according to sources within Haryana police.

Dubai authorities are said to have requested documents concerning Yadav, with expectations of his extradition back to India in the near future. Nevertheless, his lawyer refutes the arrest, asserting that Yadav remains free.

Facing over 15 criminal charges in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, Yadav's allegations include extortion, intimidation, fraudulent activities, and violent crimes.

The Enforcement Directorate has been investigating Yadav for money laundering related to the murder case. In related raids in Delhi and Gurugram, authorities uncovered luxury cars, substantial cash, and critical documents and devices.

Investigators noted that Yadav acted as an enforcer, pushing coercive settlements between private lenders and corporate entities in significant financial disputes.

Yadav first attracted attention in December 2024 during inquiries into financier Manjeet Dighal's murder, leading him to flee abroad. His name has surfaced in various notable incidents, including a shooting at singer Rahul Fazilpuria’s home and an attack connected to YouTuber Elvish Yadav.

In a statement from an undisclosed location in Dubai, Yadav has denied all allegations, framing himself as a casualty of a conspiracy rather than a perpetrator.

His arrest is seen as a major breakthrough by authorities, with more legal actions, including the extradition process, anticipated soon.
