Abu Dhabi Launches Young Emirati Traders Initiative to Foster Young Entrepreneurs

Post by : Badri Ariffin

The Abu Dhabi Global Entrepreneurship Festival has unveiled the Young Emirati Traders Initiative, designed to empower children and youth while enhancing the entrepreneurial spirit across the UAE.

Under the esteemed patronage of Sheikha Rawdha bint Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, this award embodies a strategic approach to cultivate entrepreneurial mindsets from a young age. The focus is on providing young participants with vital skills, such as innovation, financial literacy, accountability, and independence—essential attributes for transforming concepts into successful business endeavors.

Developed in partnership with the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, this initiative signifies a joint commitment to nurture emerging local talent. Participants will receive organized guidance and hands-on experiences to engage with entrepreneurship in a substantial and enjoyable way.

This initiative aligns seamlessly with the UAE’s broader ambition to foster a knowledge-centric and innovation-led economy. By prioritizing youth development, the award seeks to enhance the position of future generations as drivers of sustainable economic growth.

Speaking at the launch, Sheikha Rawdha remarked that equipping young people with entrepreneurial skills is crucial for the nation’s future. She highlighted that nurturing innovation and autonomy from an early age will empower a generation that can confidently lead the economy.

Representatives from the Khalifa Fund reinforced that this collaboration is part of their ongoing effort to support entrepreneurs at all stages. They underscored the necessity of creating a supportive environment where young minds can discover their potential and craft sustainable business concepts.

Ultimately, the Young Emirati Traders Award represents a pivotal advancement in nurturing a fresh cohort of entrepreneurs, ensuring that the UAE remains at the forefront of innovation and economic progress.
