Air Arabia has officially commenced daily non-stop flights linking Sharjah and Munich, marking its inaugural direct service to Germany from the UAE. Operated by the airline’s latest Airbus A320neo, these flights promise a more comfortable travel experience for passengers. The inaugural flight was celebrated with a special event at Munich Airport, attended by key officials from both Air Arabia and the airport.
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, highlighted how this new route enhances the airline’s footprint in Europe, providing passengers with increased travel options. He emphasized that this direct connection between Sharjah and Munich is a strategic initiative aimed at expanding Air Arabia’s European presence, thereby improving passenger convenience. Oliver Dersch, Senior VP Aviation at Munich Airport, expressed support for the launch, noting that it enhances connectivity for travelers between the GCC and Germany.
The Sharjah-Munich service is a key addition to Air Arabia’s expanding European network, which includes important destinations such as Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow, and Warsaw Chopin. Future plans include the addition of Warsaw Modlin and Prague.
Passengers on this route can expect modern facilities and a more seamless travel experience aboard the A320neo, designed to optimize comfort and mitigate environmental impact.
These new flights cater to both business and leisure travelers, facilitating easier connections for residents of the UAE and Europe without lengthy layovers. With this direct route, Air Arabia reaffirms its commitment to expanding its international network and solidifying its position as a leading low-cost carrier in the region.
