Akhanda 2 Release Rescheduled for December 12

Akhanda 2 Release Rescheduled for December 12

Post by : Meena Ariff

The highly anticipated Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, now has an official release date. Originally scheduled to hit theaters on December 5, the film was postponed at the last moment, leaving fans disappointed. The makers have now confirmed that Akhanda 2 will release on December 12, with a grand premiere planned for December 11.

A new poster shared online announced, “All set for the Divine Destruction at the box office. Feel the MASSive power of #Akhanda2 in theatres from December 12. Bookings open soon!”

The sudden postponement last week came as a shock, as premieres were initially planned for December 4. The team apologized to fans, explaining that despite their best efforts, unforeseen circumstances forced the delay. While no official reason was disclosed, industry sources suggest that a pending court case may have been a factor. Eros International Media Limited had approached the court regarding a pending arbitration amount of ₹28 crore plus interest owed by the film’s distributor, and clearance for the release was reportedly granted only recently.

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda, directed by Boyapati Srinu. In addition to Balakrishna, the film features Samyuktha, Aadhi Pinishetty, and Harshaali Malhotra in key roles. The soundtrack, composed by Thaman S, has already generated excitement among fans.

With the new release date confirmed, anticipation is once again building for what promises to be a mass entertainer at the box office, with fans eagerly awaiting the action-packed sequel.
