After two decades of companionship, actors Ashlesha Savant and Sandeep Baswana have tied the knot in a simple yet traditional wedding ceremony. The couple celebrated their union by sharing tender moments from the occasion on social media, giving fans an intimate glimpse into their special day.
On Sunday, the couple shared a heartfelt update featuring photos from their wedding. Ashlesha donned an elegant pink saree, while Sandeep complemented her style with a light pink kurta-pyjama set and jacket. They expressed their joy about starting a new journey as husband and wife and shared gratitude for the love and blessings received.
The wedding took place on November 16 at Chandrodaya Temple in Vrindavan, attended by only their close family. This location holds special significance for the couple, who found a deep spiritual connection during their visit to the Radha Krishna temples earlier this year. That trip inspired them to formalize their bond after 23 years together. Sandeep noted that both families had long been anticipating this day, desiring a meaningful ceremony rooted in tradition.
Their relationship began in 2002 while filming Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, with Ashlesha portraying Teesha Mehta Virani and Sandeep as Sahil Virani. Their friendship blossomed over the years, and they have lived together for several years.
In terms of their careers, Ashlesha is currently featured in the drama Jhanak, alongside Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja, and she previously played Barkha in Anupamaa. Meanwhile, Sandeep recently appeared in Apollena – Sapno Ki Unchi Udann in 2024 and has yet to announce his next project.
