Bajaj Finance shares went up by 3.68% on Monday after the company shared good news about a stock split and bonus shares. At 10:40 am, the share price was ₹9,739 on the NSE (National Stock Exchange), compared to ₹9,371.50 on Friday.
On June 6, Bajaj Finance announced that June 16, 2025, will be the record date for the stock split and bonus shares. A record date is the cut-off date to decide which shareholders will get the benefits.
The company is doing a 1:2 stock split, which means every 1 share of ₹2 face value will be split into 2 shares of ₹1 face value. This makes each share more affordable for small investors.
The company will also give 4 bonus shares for every 1 share you hold. That means if you have 1 share (after the split), you will get 4 extra shares for free.
So, if you owned 1 share before, after the stock split and bonus issue, you will have 10 shares in total (1 share becomes 2 shares after the split, and then you get 8 bonus shares—4 for each of those 2).
Other Updates:
The total money managed by the company (called Assets Under Management or AUM) went up by 26% to ₹4.17 lakh crore by March 31, 2025.
