Comedian Bharti Singh, who joyfully shared her second pregnancy announcement in October, was left in tears after her Laughter Chefs team orchestrated a surprise baby shower in Mumbai on November 16. Unbeknownst to her, Bharti thought she was called in for work when instead, she was greeted with a heartwarming celebration. In a video shared on Instagram, she humorously remarked about her initial shock from the sudden crowd, joking that some may have felt neglected for not being invited even though she was unaware of the festivities.
The venue was adorned with vibrant blue and pink balloons, coupled with a charming sign that read, “We can barely wait.” Bharti donned a lovely blue ensemble, while many attendees opted for pink, adding to the colorful ambiance of the day. She was presented with a tiara and sash for “mom-to-be,” and a grand cake boasting the words, “I vote girl.” Online clips showed guests jubilantly dancing to London Thumakda and snapping photos with the delighted Bharti.
A host of popular TV personalities graced the occasion, including Tejasswi Prakash, Arjun Bijlani, Jannat Zubair, Gurmeet Choudhary, and Krushna Abhishek, amongst others. Jannat Zubair even shared snapshots from the joyous event, captioning them with “Team baby girl,” mirroring Bharti's own aspirations.
Already a mother to three-year-old Laksh, Bharti has openly expressed her wish for a baby girl this time around. In a previous vlog, she expressed her hopes for “Mata Rani” to bless her with a daughter, envisioning her little girl in beautiful lehengas and ponytails, drawing inspiration from a famous celebrity child.
Looking ahead, Bharti is set to return as host for Laughter Chefs Season 3 alongside Harpal Singh Sokhi. The forthcoming season will feature several celebrities including Gurmeet Choudhary, Tejasswi Prakash, and Krushna Abhishek with Kashmera Shah. The premiere is on November 22 and will be available for online streaming.
