American golfer Bryson DeChambeau faced an awkward moment during the LIV Golf Singapore tournament when he slipped into a bunker while attempting a shot during his round at Sentosa Golf Club. The incident occurred on the fifth hole as DeChambeau prepared for his second shot near the edge of the bunker but lost his footing and briefly fell into the sand before quickly getting back up and continuing play.
Despite the setback, DeChambeau maintained his composure and delivered a strong performance throughout the tournament. He eventually finished tied at 14-under-par and defeated Canada’s Richard T. Lee in a playoff to win the title, marking another major victory in his career since his triumph at the U.S. Open in 2024.
