Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will fight Terence Crawford in a big boxing match on Saturday, September 13, in Las Vegas. Alvarez, a top Mexican boxer, will defend his undisputed super-middleweight title against Crawford, an undefeated American fighter moving up in weight. This fight is called the "fight of the century" and will be streamed worldwide on Netflix.
This event is special because it is the first boxing fight promoted by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s entertainment authority, working together with Dana White, the UFC president. Dana White said he is excited because this is the first boxing fight he will promote and called it a once-in-a-lifetime event.
Alvarez, 34, has won all four major super-middleweight titles after beating William Scull last month. Crawford, 37, has never lost a fight in his 41 professional matches and is a champion in four different weight classes. Both fighters are confident and ready to prove they are the best.
Before the fight, the boxers will go on a media tour visiting Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, then New York, and finally Las Vegas. The fight will likely take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, making it one of the biggest boxing events of the year.
