Dubai is set to showcase its unity and national pride with the upcoming Al Etihad Parade on December 2, organized by Brand Dubai in collaboration with the Events Security Committee. This event marks the 54th Eid Al Etihad under the broader “National Month” initiative led by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Anticipating thousands of participants, the parade will start assembling at Dubai Maritime City at 3:00pm, proceeding along Jumeirah Road from the Union House intersection to the Burj Al Arab intersection starting promptly at 4:00pm. This colorful procession promises to reflect the Spirit of the Union through a festival of community engagement and national symbolism.
More than 30 volunteers from the Community Development Authority will facilitate the event by handing out over 1,000 UAE flags to attendees, showcasing Dubai's commitment to community involvement during the “Year of the Community”.
To ensure the parade runs smoothly and safely, organizers have implemented comprehensive regulations. Participants are required to stick to designated paths and follow police directions, avoiding any unsanctioned gatherings or stunts. All attendees must remain safely seated in vehicles, with drivers instructed to maintain visibility. The use of decorative coverings, fireworks, or any alterations to vehicles that could obstruct safety is strictly prohibited.
To maintain order, it is crucial for attendees to respect the designated routes, keep the area clean, and not impede traffic flow. Violators may face strict penalties, including fines ranging from AED 10,000 to AED 100,000, vehicle impoundment for over 90 days, and potential license suspensions.
Police will monitor the route, ensuring a safe environment for everyone involved. Residents and citizens are encouraged to participate in this momentous occasion with responsibility and to stay informed through official channels.
The Al Etihad Parade promises to be a highlight of the National Day celebrations in Dubai, symbolizing unity, shared pride, and the enduring values that guide the UAE's progress.
