Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s new romantic comedy, De De Pyaar De 2, is performing well at the box office since its release on November 14. Directed by Anshul Sharma, the film showcases a robust weekday performance, getting closer to the ₹50-crore milestone.
As per early estimates from the industry, the film garnered ₹3.50 crore on Day 6 (November 19), bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹47.75 crore. The first Wednesday's overall theatre occupancy stood at 8.84 percent, with night shows attracting the highest attendance at 12.37 percent. Evening screenings saw 8.76 percent occupancy, with afternoon and morning shows reaching 8.05 percent and 6.19 percent, respectively.
The film features R Madhavan alongside Ishita Dutta, Meezaan Jaffrey, Javed Jaffrey, and Gautami Kapoor. The music has been crafted by talented artists such as Yo Yo Honey Singh, Jaani, Aditya Dev–Payal Dev, Avvy Sra, and Sagar Bhatia, with lyrics by Kumaar, Sagar Bhatia, Jaani, Karan Aujla, and Honey Singh.
R Madhavan reflected on his collaboration with Ajay Devgn, noting a lack of rivalry during filming. He highlighted Ajay’s emphasis on the story over individual accolades as fostering a cooperative environment. Madhavan expressed appreciation for Ajay’s calm demeanor and supportive nature, which enhanced the comfort for the cast.
With a firm grip on weekday earnings, De De Pyaar De 2 is likely to cross the ₹50-crore threshold shortly. The film's performance over the upcoming weekend will be crucial in determining its momentum into the following week.
