Directed by Aanand L Rai, Tere Ishk Mein is emerging as a remarkable box office hit. Since its release on November 28, the romantic drama has shown impressive resilience in its second week, navigating tough competition from Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar.
The film's production team at Colour Yellow Movies shared the latest figures, announcing that Tere Ishk Mein has gathered ₹152.01 crore globally. Within India, the film exceeded the ₹100 crore milestone, achieving a net collection of ₹107.5 crore. On its 14th day, it added ₹35 lakh, with an exceptional single-day collection of ₹19 crore recorded on its opening Sunday.
While Dhurandhar dominated with a global tally of ₹270 crore, Tere Ishk Mein holds its ground, attributed to strong word-of-mouth and the captivating performances of Dhanush and Kriti.
The story revolves around the enduring romance between Shankar (Dhanush) and Mukti (Kriti Sanon), who cross paths at Delhi University. Following a breakup, in which Mukti humiliates Shankar due to his humble background, he resolves to succeed in the UPSC exams. After years apart, their journeys converge again, leading to the story's emotional core. Key supporting performances are delivered by Prakash Raj, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, and Vineet Kumar Singh.
