Post by : Badri Ariffin

Dubai is preparing to welcome the fourth Arab Actuarial Conference, scheduled for February 4th to 6th, 2026, at the Millenium Plaza Downtown Hotel. Co-hosted by the UAE Insurance Federation, General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF), and MenaMoney, this event aims to unite the forefront thinkers within the insurance, finance, and risk management sectors.

The gathering will attract actuaries, investment and insurance professionals, national healthcare entities, regulators, and government officials, creating a forum to address both established and emerging financial risks. Delegates are expected from finance ministries, health departments, central banks, insurance firms, actuarial organizations, educational institutions, and professional societies throughout the MENA region.

Under the theme “The World from an Actuarial Eye,” the focus will be on leveraging AI and data analytics to revolutionize the insurance and financial landscape. Significant discussions will center on trends in health insurance within Arab markets, strategies for risk-based capital, the role of actuaries in banking, the influence of Generative AI on actuarial practices, pension sustainability, catastrophe risk modeling, and the integration of digital assets in insurance.

This conference aims to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovative approaches to enhance financial readiness and resilience in society. Attendees will engage with the evolving duties of actuaries as they navigate rapid technological advancements and unforeseen financial pressures, gaining insights into adapting to AI, machine learning, and data-centric methodologies.

As Dubai hosts this pivotal regional event, the fourth Arab Actuarial Conference is set to fortify professional networks, highlight the latest innovations, and offer practical insights for leaders across the MENA region.
