Udaipur was transformed into a scene of elegance and glamour on November 23, 2025, as Netra Mantena, daughter of U.S. pharmaceutical titan Rama Raju Mantena, wed tech entrepreneur Vamsi Gadiraju. The lavish event unfolded across extraordinary venues like The Leela Palace, Zenana Mahal, and a picturesque island palace on Lake Pichola, merging rich traditions with modern flair and celebrity allure.
Starting with a serene Mangala Snanam ceremony in Hyderabad days prior, the atmosphere was set for an extravagant celebration. Netra Mantena envisioned her wedding around the theme of being the quintessential red bride. Stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania shared, “It was Netra’s dream to embody the ultimate red bride, and honoring that vision was profoundly inspiring.” Working alongside Sabyasachi, she selected a stunningly embroidered red lehenga paired with a high-neck, long-sleeved choli and voluminous skirt that exuded royal charm, enhanced by glittering diamond jewellery.
The wedding's allure attracted global attention, with Jennifer Lopez making her Indian debut, captivating guests with a concert-like performance that ignited social media. Stars like Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit, Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan brought additional energy to the sangeet and reception evenings, especially during Madhuri's much-loved revival of the iconic “Dola Re Dola” dance, which delighted the crowd.
Photographed by renowned artist Joseph Radhik, the wedding was reminiscent of a stunning Raja Ravi Varma painting, capturing every meticulously designed detail, from the decor to the lighting. The grand combination of majestic architecture, celebrity performances, and exquisite fashion ensured that Udaipur hosted not just a wedding, but an unforgettable global event that will leave a lasting legacy.
