Man Kills Mother and Neighbour Over Affair in Haryana Village

Man Kills Mother and Neighbour Over Affair in Haryana Village

Post by : Rameen Ariff

Sirsa, Haryana, November 29, 2025 – In a shocking incident from Sikanderpur village in Sirsa, a 25-year-old man allegedly strangled his mother and her neighbour to death, police said on Friday. The accused, identified as Raj Kumar, reportedly found his mother, Anguri Devi, 42, with the 55-year-old neighbour, Lekh Raj, in what he described as an “objectionable position” inside his house.

Following the killings on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, Raj Kumar took the bodies to the local police station in his pickup vehicle and surrendered to the authorities. According to police officials, the accused confessed to the murders, stating that he used a cloth to strangle both victims.

“The accused admitted that his family had warned his mother to end her relationship with Lekh Raj, but she continued the affair for the last 15 years,” a senior police official said, requesting anonymity.

The bodies of the mother and neighbour were sent for post-mortem examination, and Raj Kumar has been arrested in connection with the double murder. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are working to confirm the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The brutal killings have shocked residents of Sikanderpur village and raised questions about familial disputes escalating into violent acts. Law enforcement officials have assured the community that strict action will be taken and that the case is being handled with urgency.

This tragic incident in Haryana underscores the importance of addressing family conflicts and domestic issues before they escalate into violence. Police have appealed to the public to remain calm while the investigation proceeds.
