The passing of veteran actress Kamini Kaushal at 98 sparked a touching tribute in Mumbai, where numerous film industry icons congregated to celebrate her legacy. A prayer gathering unfolded, attended by notable personalities who came to pay their respects. Social media highlighted the presence of Jaya Bachchan and Waheeda Rehman at the event.

Arriving early, Jaya Bachchan wore white and was seen welcoming other senior attendees, while Waheeda Rehman arrived shortly thereafter in a simple saree. Clips shared online showcased heartfelt conversations between the two renowned actors. Fellow actor Raza Murad was also in attendance. Reports indicate the atmosphere was marked by simplicity and tranquility, without ornate decorations or formal speeches. Attendees reflected quietly, offering condolences while remembering Kamini Kaushal’s significant contributions to Indian cinema.

Kamini Kaushal passed away on November 14 in Mumbai, with her final rites conducted at the Worli crematorium, attended by close family members.

Numerous celebrities took to social media to express their sorrow. Notable actors including Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Amitabh Bachchan, and Anupam Kher shared tributes brimming with memories of her performances in films like Kabir Singh and Laal Singh Chaddha.

Kamini Kaushal's illustrious career began when she was cast by filmmaker Chetan Anand in the award-winning Neecha Nagar (1946) at the Cannes Film Festival. Over her seven-decade career, she portrayed unforgettable characters in iconic films such as Biraj Bahu, Shaheed, Arzoo, and Ziddi. In the years following the 1990s, she made sporadic appearances in films, including roles in Chennai Express, Kabir Singh, and Laal Singh Chaddha.
