Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively Prepare for March Court Showdown

Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively Prepare for March Court Showdown

Post by : Meena Ariff

The legal showdown between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively heats up as private chat messages come to light. Evidence submitted reveals Rainn Wilson providing support to Baldoni during a particularly tense period on the set of It Ends With Us. These messages, dated January 5, 2024, feature Baldoni, Travis Van Winkle, Andy Grammer, and producer Jamey Heath.

The conversation kicked off with Wilson asking: “Any updates, Brothers?” Baldoni recounted a distressing night that included a disheartening exchange with Ryan Reynolds. He shared his feelings of distress after Reynolds allegedly spoke to him “like a child,” questioning everything from his character to his podcast collaboration with producer Jamey Heath, which Baldoni claimed was misrepresented.

In a later message, Baldoni highlighted the use of terms like “creepy” and “abuse” in discussions about his conduct. He mentioned being presented with lines he was expected to apologize with, a task he found difficult as he was still processing the situation: “I feel this was so unjust, and the only way forward was to acknowledge her and Ryan’s feelings and face the wrath of an angry husband.”

Wilson showed strong solidarity with Baldoni, responding: “Oh my God. I can’t believe it. You were set up and ambushed and personally attacked. I’m stunned.” He likened Baldoni’s reaction to “a deer in the headlights” and reassured him that not rushing an apology was likely beneficial. Wilson encouraged Baldoni to forge ahead, stating: “Onwards, brother. Make a great and important and entertaining piece of storytelling. That’s all you can do now.”

The legal issues began when Lively lodged a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department on December 20, 2024, claiming Baldoni of sexual harassment and creating a hostile working atmosphere during filming. In turn, Baldoni filed a defamation lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds, which was subsequently dismissed. On November 12, 2025, Baldoni asked the court to dismiss Lively’s harassment allegations. The upcoming trial is set for March 2025.

These messages offer an intimate glimpse into the backstage dynamics and highlight the support network Baldoni relied on during this period. The situation underscores the complex relationships among high-profile personalities and the difficulties of managing professional disputes in the film industry.
