A high-level meeting was held in Kyrgyzstan to review the progress of major infrastructure projects, including the Barskoon-Bedel highway and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. The session was chaired by Erlist Akunbekov, who emphasized the importance of timely execution and coordination.
During the meeting, officials from various government agencies and partner organizations presented updates on the current status of the Barskoon-Bedel highway construction project. Discussions focused on identifying challenges and ensuring smooth implementation of key development activities.
Authorities highlighted the need to begin work on critical aspects of the project, including resolving land-related issues, approving the master plan of the route, and ensuring a consistent supply of construction materials. These steps are essential to maintain project timelines and avoid delays.
The meeting also stressed the importance of close coordination between different departments. Officials agreed to take immediate action on pending matters and ensure that decisions are implemented efficiently in the coming weeks.
Following the discussions, relevant state bodies were instructed to accelerate approval processes, address land management concerns, and ensure the relocation of engineering infrastructure where required. The progress of these tasks will be closely monitored by the government.
In addition, a separate meeting was held to review the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project. Officials discussed the process of clearing land plots required for railway construction and directed local authorities to take urgent steps to resolve any obstacles.
The government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening national infrastructure and enhancing regional connectivity through these major projects. Successful execution is expected to boost economic development and improve transport networks across the region.
