Lava Agni 4: Transforming the Mid-Range Smartphone Landscape in India

Lava Agni 4: Transforming the Mid-Range Smartphone Landscape in India

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Lava is poised to enhance its smartphone portfolio in India with the anticipated launch of the Agni 4. Set to retail for less than ₹30,000, this device aspires to marry premium aesthetics with solid performance for mid-range consumers. In preparation for its debut, Lava has initiated an innovative Demo@Home campaign. From November 20 to 24, selected individuals in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai will have the exclusive opportunity to experience the device up close, assisted by Lava professionals in their own spaces.

The Agni 4 boasts an elegant aluminium alloy frame coupled with a matte AG glass back, ultra-thin 1.7 mm bezels, and comes in two striking colors: Phantom Black and Lunar Mist White. This design is crafted for enhanced durability and ease of use.

Equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 5G processor (4nm, reaching up to 3.35GHz), the device records scores exceeding 1.4 million on AnTuTu (V10). It features 8GB of RAM, expandable to 16GB, alongside 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and incorporates a 4300 mm² vapor-chamber cooling system along with a dedicated Game Booster mode to ensure optimal performance.

This smartphone incorporates a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, achieving peak brightness levels of 2400 nits, 10-bit color depth, and a 446 PPI density, enabling crystalline visuals even in bright outdoor settings.

For photography aficionados, the Agni 4 features a 50MP primary rear camera with OIS, complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP front camera. Both camera arrays support 4K video recording at 60fps. Advanced capabilities such as AI-driven scene detection, skin-tone adjustments, Dual Conversion Gain for improved dynamic range, and Dual-View Video enhance its photography and videography potential.

Durability is a key consideration, highlighted by an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, wet-touch functionality, and a robust frame designed to withstand up to an hour of rain exposure. Additionally, users benefit from a customizable Action Key featuring over 100 shortcut options for added convenience.

With the Agni Promise backing the Agni 4, Lava ensures a hassle-free user experience, featuring doorstep replacements for manufacturing defects, no pre-installed bloatware, three years of Android updates, and four years of security patches, thereby guaranteeing continued software enhancements.
