Lebap Farmers Expect Strong Crop Harvests

Lebap Farmers Expect Strong Crop Harvests

Post by : Shakul

Farmers in Lebap Region are expecting a strong and abundant harvest this year as large-scale agricultural activities continue across the region. The focus remains on key food crops such as wheat, onions, and vegetables, which are essential for both local consumption and national supply.

According to regional plans for 2026, spring wheat has been sown across 1,400 hectares of land, with an expected production of around 19,600 tons. Careful preparation before the sowing season and the use of high-quality seeds suited to local soil and climate conditions have played a major role in ensuring healthy crop growth.

Farmers have been following modern agricultural practices, including timely irrigation, inter-row cultivation, and the use of organic and mineral fertilizers. These efforts are helping to improve crop quality and increase overall yield. The goal is to achieve high productivity levels per hectare through consistent and careful farming techniques.

Different districts in the region are contributing significantly to the overall production. In the Chardjow district, a large area of land has been dedicated to crop cultivation, with thousands of tons of produce expected. Other districts such as Danev, Sayat, and Kerki are also showing strong agricultural output with steady progress in crop management.

In addition to wheat, onion cultivation is also a major focus this season. Around 900 hectares have been allocated for spring onions, with an expected yield of approximately 22,500 tons. Farmers are working actively to ensure proper care and maintenance of these crops, leading to strong and healthy growth across the fields.

Districts like Dovletli and Chardjow are leading in onion production, with large areas under cultivation and high yield targets set for the season. The organized approach and dedication of farmers have helped achieve positive results so far.

With harvesting season approaching, the fields of wheat, onions, and vegetables show promising signs of a successful yield. The ongoing efforts of farmers reflect their commitment to agriculture, and the region is expected to meet its production targets with a rich and plentiful harvest.
