Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani have returned as a trio in Mastiii 4, the newest entry in the adult-comedy franchise. The freshly released trailer leans into nostalgic gags, broad humour and the anarchic spirit that has defined the series.
Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, the instalment reunites the actors in their familiar avatars of Amar, Meet and Prem. The characters may be older, but their irreverent antics and effortless comic interplay remain central to the film’s tone.
The cast posted the trailer on Instagram with the caption,
“This year Mastiii 4 is full of Dhamaal and Golmaal! Trailer Out Now! Releasing in cinemas on 21st November.”
The clip quickly circulated online as long-time viewers welcomed the franchise’s return, which began in 2004.
A reunion filled with laughter
Riteish Deshmukh said stepping back into the role felt like revisiting a fond era. He described Mastiii 4 as uproarious with an unexpected twist, and likened working again with Vivek and Aftab to a warm reunion where the cast laughed together constantly on set.
Vivek Oberoi noted the trailer offers only a glimpse of the film’s antics, praising the chemistry among the three leads and predicting a riotous final cut. Aftab Shivdasani, part of the franchise since its inception, called the project more than a film — a testament to enduring camaraderie and timing.
Director’s full circle moment
Milap Milan Zaveri, who penned earlier Masti films, now directs the fourth chapter. He said the move from writer to director feels surreal and that returning to the material with the original stars has allowed him to amplify the comedy and scale up the set pieces.
Star-studded cast, familiar madness
Alongside the central trio, Mastiii 4 features Shreya Sharma, Ruhii Singh, Elnaaz Norouzi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shaad Randhawa and Nishant Malkani in key roles. The movie is produced by A. Jhunjhunwala and Shikha Karan Ahluwalia for Waveband Production and Zee Studios, with Maruti International and Balaji Telefilms also involved.
Mastiii 4 will arrive in cinemas on November 21, promising a madcap, nostalgia-tinged comedy ride for fans of the franchise.
