Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke, renowned for her viral warm-up routine during the 2012 World Championships, has announced her engagement. Jenneke took to Instagram to share her joy, disclosing that her relationship with Olympic athlete Alex Beck has been private for eight and a half years, known mostly to close friends and family.
Jenneke's fiancé, Alex Beck, is also an Olympic athlete from Australia. The couple has largely kept their personal lives out of the spotlight, primarily posting about their training and competitions. In her social media posts, Jenneke can be seen joyfully displaying her engagement ring alongside Beck.
Michelle represented Australia at the Olympics in both the 2016 Rio Games and the upcoming 2024 Paris Games, participating in the 100-meter hurdles. Alex Beck, who participated in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, competed in the men's 400 meters. Both athletes have had commendable careers, with Jenneke achieving success in youth competitions and Beck capturing medals at the Oceania Championships in 2024. Their engagement news has been met with delight from fans, marking a heartening chapter for these admirable Australian sports icons.
