Mona Singh Shares Hilarious Encounter with Shah Rukh Khan

Mona Singh Shares Hilarious Encounter with Shah Rukh Khan

Post by : Meena Ariff

In a delightful revelation, actress Mona Singh, known for her role as Neeta Singh in The Ba**ds of Bollywood, has detailed a comical incident from the web series' set. While shooting a revamped version of the classic 1997 song Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela from Gupt, she found herself unexpectedly flustered when Shah Rukh Khan came to visit. Supporting his son Aryan Khan, who is making his directorial debut with the show, Shah Rukh's presence made Mona too anxious to perform.

Mona recounted that while Shah Rukh often dropped by, on this particular day, his attendance during her dance sequence overwhelmed her. She joked, “Sir, you cannot be here! I can’t do this in front of you,” prompting a chuckle from Shah Rukh as he reminded her to maintain her professionalism. However, she insisted that he step away so she could proceed without feeling self-conscious, leading to a playful interaction between the two.

The song sequence quickly captured viewers' attention following the series' release. In this reimagining, Mona’s face is digitally grafted onto one of the original dancers, featuring Bobby Deol. She reported an influx of memes and fan reactions filling her social media, with many enthusiasts revitalizing the legendary tune. Her team encouraged her to engage with this trend, and she described the response as astonishing.

This recreation of the song plays a crucial role within the narrative, enhancing the dynamic between Mona’s Neeta and Bobby Deol’s Ajay Talvar. The plot intensifies as Aasman Singh discovers he is the illegitimate child of Neeta and Ajay, making the song's placement significantly impactful.

The Ba**ds of Bollywood symbolizes Aryan Khan’s inaugural venture into direction, featuring a robust cast that includes Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Aanya Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Manoj Pahwa, Gautami Kapoor, Vijayant Kohli, and Rajat Bedi. The seven-episode series is now available for streaming and continues to garner attention for its compelling performances, narrative, and intriguing behind-the-scenes tales like Mona’s.
