Mumbai Police Issues Summons to Siddhanth Kapoor Over Drug Investigation

Mumbai Police Issues Summons to Siddhanth Kapoor Over Drug Investigation

Post by : Meena Ariff

Siddhanth Kapoor, the sibling of Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor, has been called to appear before the Mumbai Police related to a significant ₹252 crore drug case. His appearance is scheduled for November 25 to provide his testimony.

Previously, Orhan Awatramani, known as Orry, received a summons but was unable to attend, seeking an extension instead. During investigations initiated by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Ghatkopar, both Siddhanth and Orry were mentioned in connection with the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, the principal suspect in the case.

Neither Siddhanth nor Shraddha has commented publicly on the situation. In 2022, Siddhanth was detained in Bengaluru on drug-related charges.

According to police sources, Shaikh confessed during questioning to hosting extravagant parties in Dubai and Mumbai, which were reportedly attended by several prominent individuals, including Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor, filmmakers Abbas–Mustan, rapper Loka, Orry, and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique.

Orry has sought a postponement until November 25 and has since sent his legal representative concerning the summons. He was recently spotted at Travis Scott’s concert in Mumbai on November 19.

The origins of this case trace back to March 2024 when authorities confiscated 126.14 kg of mephedrone (commonly referred to as MD), estimated to be worth around ₹252 crore, from a farm manufacturing site in Sangli district. Shaikh, who was sent back from Dubai, admitted to planning rave parties for celebrities both domestically and internationally.
