OnePlus 15R Set for Indian Market: Specs, Display & Camera Insights

OnePlus 15R Set for Indian Market: Specs, Display & Camera Insights

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Following the introduction of the OnePlus 15, the company is poised to unveil the OnePlus 15R in India. The product page is already live on OnePlus’ official site, confirming it will come with Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 right out of the box. This model is anticipated to be a rebranded variant of the recently released OnePlus Ace 6 in China.

Design and Display

The OnePlus 15R is expected to sport a sizeable 6.83-inch LTPS AMOLED display featuring FHD+ resolution (2800×1272 pixels) and peak brightness reaching 1800 nits. Users can look forward to fluid visuals with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz under specific conditions. Notably, the design seems to forgo the traditional alert slider in favor of the customizable Plus Key first seen in the OnePlus 13 series.

Performance and Storage

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the 15R is expected to offer options of either 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM. Storage choices will likely include 256GB, 512GB, and a substantial 1TB UFS 4.1 variant, allowing ample space for applications, games, and media.

Cameras

Photography lovers can anticipate a 50MP wide-angle rear camera equipped with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies and video conversations, a 16MP front camera is likely to be included. Interestingly, there may not be a telephoto lens as seen in previous models, and it remains to be seen if the new DetailMax Engine will replace the Hasselblad image tuning present in the flagship OnePlus 15.

Battery and Charging

The OnePlus 15R is predicted to be powered by a hefty 7,800mAh battery, supporting 120W wired charging. Like its predecessors in the R-series, options for wireless charging may not be available.

With advanced features such as a 165Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite, and a large battery, the OnePlus 15R appears to be aimed at users in search of flagship-like performance at a more accessible price. Its minimalist design alongside the customizable Plus Key is likely to attract OnePlus enthusiasts who value both aesthetics and functionality in their devices.
