Foam Warehouse Fire Near Petrol Station in Prachin Buri

Foam Warehouse Fire Near Petrol Station in Prachin Buri

Post by : Shakul

A large fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon at a foam storage warehouse in Kabin Buri District of Prachin Buri Province, Thailand, sending thick plumes of smoke billowing over the surrounding area. The blaze was first reported shortly after 2 PM local time at a scrap purchasing depot dealing in foam products, located on Highway 304 near a PTT petrol station and opposite the Toyota Kabin Buri branch.

Emergency services from the Prachin Buri Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command Centre, under the leadership of provincial governor Veerapan Dee‑on, were immediately dispatched to the scene, along with fire engines and rescue personnel from nearby local authorities.

Firefighters Battling Heavy Smoke and Flames

Officials said the fire was still not fully under control as crews worked to contain the blaze and prevent further spread. Large volumes of smoke continued to blanket the area, prompting authorities to warn residents and motorists to stay clear of Highway 304 near the Sam Thahan intersection as a safety precaution and to facilitate emergency operations.

At this stage, the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, with officials gathering evidence to determine how the blaze began and whether hazardous materials at the foam warehouse contributed to its rapid spread.

Public Safety Measures Underway

Local authorities advised the public to avoid traveling through the affected stretch of Highway 304 to reduce visibility‑related risks and allow space for firefighting vehicles. Emergency teams said they would continue close monitoring of the situation and issue updates as efforts to fully extinguish the fire progress.

No confirmed reports of injuries or fatalities have been released at this time, but officials are closely watching developments due to the potential hazards associated with foam and chemical storage fires.
