Recently, Priyanka Chopra attended a promotional event in Hyderabad for the film Varanasi, expressing her heartfelt thanks to Mahesh Babu and his family for their warm hospitality during the shoot. She highlighted how Mahesh’s wife Namrata Shirodkar and daughter Sitara made her feel right at home throughout the film's production.

A newly surfaced behind-the-scenes photo from the sets is captivating fans online. The image was shared by Sitara on her Instagram Stories as she celebrated SS Karthikeya’s birthday, captioning it, “Happy birthday Karth anna.” Karthikeya responded with gratitude, while the picture features Priyanka alongside her mother, with Namrata and Sitara brightening the scene. Karthikeya completes the joyful setup to the right.

The day prior, Priyanka shared an entertaining video of her dancing with Karthikeya to the classic AR Rahman hit, “Urvashi Urvashi.” In her caption, she referred to him fondly as “the man who silently holds up the fort” and extended her birthday wishes, sharing the joy of their collaboration.

During the same event, the trailer for Varanasi, directed by SS Rajamouli, was revealed, generating significant excitement. Set to premiere in January 2027, the film is described as a grand, visually stunning action-adventure featuring elements of time travel and rich mythological themes. The trailer begins with an asteroid breaking apart, with its fragments landing in various locations including Varanasi, Antarctica, and Africa, suggesting a narrative that spans centuries and draws inspiration from the Ramayana.

The trailer culminates dramatically with Mahesh Babu, portraying Rudhra, depicted blood-soaked while wielding a trident amidst ancient temple ruins, riding a bull. Priyanka Chopra takes on the role of Mandakini, while Prithviraj Sukumaran portrays the antagonist, Kumbha. With its grand scale, mythological richness, and star-studded ensemble, Varanasi stands poised to be one of the most eagerly awaited films of the decade.
