Varanasi Promo Tour: Priyanka, Mahesh Babu, and Prithviraj Unite

Post by : Meena Ariff

The excitement around SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film Varanasi has intensified following the release of its teaser. Shortly after, the film's lead stars—Priyanka Chopra, Mahesh Babu, and Prithviraj Sukumaran—embarked on a promotional journey with international media. Priyanka took to social media to share delightful snapshots from their promotional tour, capturing widespread attention.

Among the images, she posted a joyful selfie with Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj, and another featuring all three together. For the event, Priyanka sported a chic black sheer shirt paired with a matching skirt. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside two esteemed stars from the Telugu and Malayalam films in a Rajamouli production.

Excited about promoting the film nearly a year ahead of its release, Priyanka remarked that the encouraging responses from global media have uplifted the entire team's spirits, and they are optimistic that the film will resonate well with audiences.

During the teaser launch in Hyderabad, she noted that although Prithviraj’s character appears menacing in the film, he is quite warm and humble off-screen. She expressed her appreciation to Mahesh Babu and her family for their support and hospitality during her time in Hyderabad.

In Varanasi, Mahesh Babu plays Rudhra, Priyanka takes on the role of Mandakini, and Prithviraj portrays Kumbha. While the teaser gives few hints about the plot, many fans speculate that it may involve elements of time travel. Rajamouli also shared that Mahesh Babu will be seen as Lord Rama in a special sequence, which he described as one of the most exceptional moments he has ever captured.

The film Varanasi is slated to hit theatres during Sankranthi 2027.
