Salim and Salma Khan Celebrate 61 Years of Togetherness with Loved Ones

Post by : Meena Ariff

Bollywood's legendary screenwriter Salim Khan and his wife, Salma Khan (née Sushila Charak), joyously marked their 61st wedding anniversary on a memorable Monday night. The intimate celebration was filled with family and close friends, and lively moments from the event soon captured attention on social media.

Salman Khan made a stylish entrance, warmly acknowledging the photographers present. He was accompanied by his father Salim's second wife, the iconic actress Helen, who posed gracefully for photos. Salim and Salma Khan’s daughter Alvira, along with her husband Atul Agnihotri and their daughter Alizeh, also attended, adding to the familial warmth.

Notable guests included Salman Khan’s bodyguard Shera, Arpita Khan's husband Aayush Sharma, and actor Sonakshi Sinha, alongside Zaheer Iqbal, all of whom share cherished relationships with the Khan family.

Salim Khan is celebrated for penning Hindi cinema's enduring classics such as Sholay and Zanjeer. Together with Salma, he has raised four children—Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail, and Alvira—along with an adopted daughter, Arpita.

In a significant chapter of his life, Salim Khan wed the renowned Bollywood dancer-actress Helen in 1981. Their union, which Salim describes as an 'emotional accident,' was thoroughly embraced and discussed with his children beforehand, demonstrating mutual respect and love for each family.

The trio of Salim, Helen, and Salma Khan often come together for festive celebrations, highlighting a relationship built on affection and respect. The 61st-anniversary festivities were a warm reminder of the strong bonds within one of Bollywood’s most celebrated families, much to the delight of their fans who enjoyed glimpses of the joyful occasion.
