Salman Khan to Develop a Rs 10,000 Crore Township and Film Studio in Telangana

Post by : Maya Rahman

Bollywood icon Salman Khan has revealed his plans for a significant investment in Telangana via his company, Salman Khan Ventures. The initiative involves the creation of a Rs 10,000 crore township alongside a cutting-edge film studio in the region. This announcement was made during the Telangana Rising Global Summit, which aims to invite substantial investments while aiding the state's ambition to reach a 3 trillion dollar economy.

At the core of this venture will be a state-of-the-art film studio tailored for films, OTT productions, and extensive projects. The studio will offer post-production services, VFX capabilities, and training programs for talent. This marks the inaugural establishment of such a studio by a Bollywood personality in Telangana, reinforcing the state as a pivotal location for the media and entertainment sectors.

The envisioned township will cover almost 500 acres, creating an all-inclusive, contemporary environment. Plans include high-quality residences, commercial areas, luxurious hotels, retail spaces, and recreational facilities. Amenities such as a golf course, race track, nature trails, and shooting ranges are also integrated into the design. This comprehensive project is anticipated to enhance tourism and generate numerous job opportunities for local residents.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed enthusiasm for this investment, describing it as a landmark achievement for the creative industry. The government has pledged full backing regarding approvals, land allocations, and infrastructure. The summit also showcased substantial MoUs valued at Rs 2.43 lakh crore, including commitments from industry leaders like Reliance Vantara, Trump Media, Brookfield Axis Ventures, and GMR Group. These initiatives reflect Telangana's emerging status as a robust investment haven.
