In Jeddah, Sheikh Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, welcomed Sheikh Nayabagabo Salum, the Grand Mufti of Burundi. Their meeting aimed to enhance collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Burundi in Islamic affairs, underlining Saudi Arabia's commitment to uplifting Muslim communities worldwide through unity and peaceful practices.

The discussions centered on enhancing dawah efforts in Burundi, aimed at disseminating Islam’s peaceful message and nurturing positive values within the community. Saudi Arabia expressed its commitment to provide training, resources, and expertise to fortify these initiatives, which are crucial for developing enduring religious education systems.

Additionally, both leaders emphasized the critical need to promote moderation and tolerance, key tenets of balanced Islamic teachings that cultivate peaceful societies. Saudi Arabia is dedicated to spreading these values globally through various partnerships. The Grand Mufti of Burundi recognized the impact of these efforts, acknowledging their importance in guiding youth and fostering healthy religious development.

The meeting also addressed enhancing Islamic endeavors in Burundi, including backing religious institutions and training imams and scholars. Sheikh Nayabagabo Salum expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support, which aids Burundi in building robust structures for its Muslim population. This partnership ensures that Islamic education is accessible, clear, and beneficial.

Saudi Arabia remains a pivotal player in advocating for Muslim communities globally, spearheaded by initiatives from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, which include educational support, mosque construction, and structured religious program development. This meeting highlights the Kingdom’s mission to bolster spiritual and social foundations in nations like Burundi.

Both leaders remain optimistic about the future relations between Saudi Arabia and Burundi, committed to enhancing communication and program collaborations that will ultimately serve the Muslim population better. Their discussions concluded with a shared dedication to ensuring the ongoing propagation of peace, moderation, and authentic Islamic teachings.
