Sharjah's Judicial Council Enhances Access with New Courts and Digital Services

Sharjah's Judicial Council Enhances Access with New Courts and Digital Services

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Sharjah is advancing its commitment to justice accessibility and modernizing its legal framework. His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, led a key meeting at Bait Elowal aimed at enhancing judicial efficiency and broadening legal services throughout the emirate.

The Council approved the creation of two new Courts of Appeal in Kalba and Al Dhaid, designed to manage appeals in line with the Judicial Authority Law. This initiative will alleviate pressure on existing central courts and expedite case processing. Residents will benefit from accessible judicial services in their vicinity, facilitating fair and prompt justice delivery.

As part of its modernization efforts, the Council revealed an updated corporate identity for the Judicial Council, the Department of Justice, and the Public Prosecution. This new identity, influenced by the Islamic architectural style of the Department of Justice building's dome, integrates clarity, professionalism, and cultural authenticity. A harmonious color palette and contemporary typography will enhance the distinctiveness of each entity while fostering consistency in official communications.

Digital innovations took a prominent role with the introduction of new social media accounts and the launch of the "Sharjah Judiciary" platform. This comprehensive website and mobile application will empower users to monitor applications, make requests, and access smart judicial services effortlessly. This initiative underscores Sharjah’s dedication to utilizing technology to elevate government service quality and provide a streamlined user experience.

The Council also prioritized improving media performance and monitoring digital platform content to ensure dependable, transparent communication with the public. By synchronizing media strategies with the emirate’s principles and legal expectations, Sharjah aspires to enhance awareness and build trust in its judicial processes.

With these initiatives, Sharjah is constructing a modern, approachable, and innovative judicial environment that harmonizes tradition with advanced technology to better serve its citizens.
