Sonakshi Sinha Visits Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque with Husband Zaheer

Sonakshi Sinha Visits Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque with Husband Zaheer

Post by : Rameen Ariff

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and her husband Zaheer Iqbal recently visited the iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, sharing glimpses of their visit on social media. The couple was featured in a new advertisement promoting tourism in Abu Dhabi, and Sonakshi posted a video of them walking through the mosque on Instagram.

For the visit, Sonakshi wore a green and white printed short kurta paired with pyjama, and covered her head with a matching green dupatta as a mark of respect for the mosque’s traditions. Zaheer Iqbal wore a black shirt with green trousers. Sonakshi captioned her post, “Found a little sukoon (peace), right here in Abu Dhabi!  @visitabudhabi #InAbuDhabi #ad.”

The post quickly drew reactions from fans, with many praising the couple’s attire and respectful gesture. One fan commented, “In a temple or a mosque, covering the head is a spiritual thing, whether Hindu or Muslim.” Another noted, “Your dress totally matches the aesthetic,” while several others simply wrote, “Beautiful.”

This visit comes shortly after actress Deepika Padukone faced criticism for wearing a hijab during a tourism promotion. Fans appreciated Sonakshi’s respectful approach at the mosque, sparking positive conversations online.

About Sonakshi and Zaheer
Sonakshi and Zaheer were married on June 23 last year in a private ceremony in Mumbai, followed by a wedding celebration at Bastian, attended by several Bollywood celebrities. Sonakshi shared at the time, “On this very day, seven years back, in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it.”

Sonakshi’s Upcoming Projects
Sonakshi was last seen in Nikita Roy, a psychological thriller released on July 18, directed by her brother Kussh Sinha. She also has the Telugu film Jatadhara with Sudheer Babu, set to release on November 7. The film also features Divya Khossla, Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, and others, under the direction of Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal.
