Sunny Deol Provides Update on Dharmendra’s Health Post-Discharge

Post by : Meena Ariff

Legendary actor Dharmendra has officially left the hospital in Mumbai, where he was admitted for treatment earlier this week. His son, actor Sunny Deol, shared an official statement on Wednesday confirming this development and calling for respect for their family's privacy.

In his communication, Sunny noted that his father’s recovery will proceed at home, assuring fans that Dharmendra is doing well.

“Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time,” the statement from Sunny Deol’s team emphasized.

Sunny also expressed appreciation for the love and support received from fans and well-wishers during this time.

“We are thankful for everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, health, and long life. Please respect him as he loves you all,” the note mentioned.

Hospital Confirms Discharge of Dharmendra

A medical professional caring for Dharmendra confirmed his discharge at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

“Dharmendra ji was discharged from the hospital around 7.30 am. He will receive further care at home as decided by the family,” stated the doctor.

Addressing Rumors

On Tuesday, misleading rumors about Dharmendra’s passing circulated online, alarming fans. His wife, Hema Malini, and daughter Esha Deol promptly addressed the falsehood through social media, confirming that Dharmendra is alive and recovering well.

While he was hospitalized, the Deol family consistently remained by his side. Sunny and Bobby Deol, along with Esha, Abhay Deol, and Hema Malini, were often seen visiting him.

Bollywood Icons Show Support

Numerous Bollywood celebrities visited Dharmendra during his stay, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, along with Aamir’s girlfriend Gauri Spratt, all demonstrating their support for the iconic actor.

Following extensive media interest over family visits, Sunny Deol has reiterated the family’s plea for privacy and urged the media to avoid speculation as Dharmendra recovers at home.

At 88, Dharmendra remains a revered figure in Indian cinema, with over six decades of work. His fans continue to express their love and hopes for his swift recovery.
