Big fights are coming to Japan this November! A huge event called ONE 173 will happen at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on November 16. Two exciting matches have already been announced, and fans can't wait.
In the main kickboxing match, Thailand’s Superbon will face Japan’s Masaki Noiri. They will fight to become the undisputed featherweight kickboxing world champion. Noiri earned this chance after a powerful knockout win against Tawanchai in March. But Superbon, known as one of the best strikers in the world, said, “Noiri has experience, but I’m the best in kickboxing. I will win.”
Noiri is excited to fight in front of his home fans and promises to end the fight with a knockout.
In MMA, heavyweight champion Oumar Kane from Senegal will defend his title against the former champion Anatoly Malykhin. Kane surprised everyone when he beat Malykhin last year. This time, Kane’s team says he’s stronger and more prepared. Malykhin says he will fight more aggressively this time and is confident he will win by knockout.
Japanese fan-favorite Takeru also appeared and said he wanted a rematch with Rodtang after losing in under 90 seconds at ONE 172. He’s even open to fighting under boxing rules, using MMA gloves, or just bare fists! Fans might get to choose the rules for that rematch.
Flyweight MMA world champion Yuya Wakamatsu is also expected to defend his title at the event. Meanwhile, Yuki Yoza will fight Petchtanong at another event, and the winner might get a title shot against champion Jonathan Haggerty.
ONE 173 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting martial arts events of the year, with top fighters, huge stakes, and thrilling matchups.
