Trump Weighs US Action as Israel-Iran Conflict Hits Hospitals, Cities

Fighting between Israel and Iran has gotten worse. For the seventh day in a row, both countries are attacking each other with missiles and drones. On Thursday, a hospital in Beersheba, southern Israel, was hit by an Iranian missile. Many people were hurt, and rescuers had to move patients out quickly. Homes near Tel Aviv were also damaged, and over 240 people in Israel have been wounded.

Israel’s defense minister said that Iran’s top leader should not stay in power because of these attacks. In response, Israeli warplanes bombed places in Iran linked to its nuclear program.

The United States is now thinking about joining the fight. President Donald Trump said he will decide in the next two weeks if the US military will get involved. He hopes there might still be a chance for peace talks about Iran’s nuclear program, but he is also considering attacking a very strong nuclear site in Iran if needed.

Meanwhile, Iran’s foreign minister is planning to meet with leaders from Europe to try to find a peaceful solution. Britain’s foreign secretary said there was a short window to stop the fighting and make a deal.

Since the fighting started last week, hundreds of people have been killed or wounded in both countries. Most of the missiles and drones sent by Iran have been stopped by Israel’s air defenses, but some have gotten through and caused damage and deaths.
